The Strategic Planning Committee for The Chronicle of Higher Education
We were charged with developing the strategy for the company for the next 5 years. The market research, financial forecasting, and strategic development stretched my knowledge beyond the sales and marketing arm of the business and gave me a solid understanding of business finance and operations. It also taught me the value of building strategic teams that represents all business units, management levels, and diverse backgrounds. Finally, it taught me the value of discourse and how it can help push teams outside of the box when they are encouraged to explore and dissect ideas within a business culture.
