Teammates might misunderstand me as...

I'm very comfy with change, so I often propose many changes that can be difficult to keep up with or might impact people's workflows. I'm just trying to help, but sometimes I need to create space for people to share concerns or feedback.

My areas for growth

Stays composed throughout conflict or difficult situationsCollaborates effectively with teammatesWilling to openly have difficult conversations

I tend to want to fix things when I see room for improvement. In a startup, that's everything, so sometimes I let that affect my feelings of happiness when I can't fix everything. Next, my main focus right now is better project management so that we can make better use of all of our team's unique skills, personalities, and perspectives. I've enjoyed it in the past, but I want to be world-class at this. Finally, I'm fine with confrontation, but I want to feel less stress about initiating these conversations. I also want to be more deft about how to make suggestions in a way that the recipient feels safe and doesn't feel attacked at all.

My superpowers

Prioritizes common good over self-interestInvests and is interested in personal and professional growthMentors and develops teammates for their growthStays true to own values with integrityClearly communicates purpose and vision

My background is in sports (soccer), chess, and economics. I'm motivated to create systems that people enjoy using and create great outcomes. I care far more about what's true and effective than what's _mine_, and that comes out in training and policy that I produce.
