My core values
I'm intrinsically motivated by my core values and use them as my life's compass. Whenever I feel out of alignment, I come back to these values to re-steer my sails in the direction of my purpose. I also never underestimate the power of humor at work ✨
Full storyI like to get feedback when its given…
I like blunt, direct and constant feedback. If you are feeling something about something that we're working on or I may have done, just tell me directly :).
Full storyI learn best by…
I love to roll up my sleeves and just do the work. That said, I seek out wisdom from mentors and aim to learn from others mistakes (and of course my own) . I won't make the same mistake twice, but I thrive in experimental environments that allow me to try, fail and learn.

Teammates say Darcy gives great advice about
Some of my first experiences of colocations were setup by Darcy. Working with a remote team, she really showed me why colocations mattered. Colocations could be meaningful times to connect and deepen interactions that were initiated remotely.
Full storyMy superpowers
I value work/life harmony and show up in alignment with my values in both areas. I really love people and some would say that friendship is my full-time job.
Full storyMost fulfilling project I've worked on
In 2019 I had the opportunity to lead the first academic study of how to codify a fully remote culture.
It 👏was 👏 so👏NEAT!
I had the privilege work with MIT Sloan, The Center for Meaning and Well Being at Colorado State University and the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument to research and measure a fully remote culture. We used a stakeholder mindset model and anthropological studies to identify shared rituals, languages, artifacts and more to mine the DNA (no longer held by the container of an office).
For 18 months I worked with employees and my mentors in these institutions to strategically destabilize and destabilize the culture to not only honor the intrinsic values of the founders and early employees, but evolve the culture to fit the market in which the culture was moving in to. We also worked to ensure that words truly made worlds and that every word chosen was anchored in positive psychology. I watched lives completely transform and profits soar. It was definitely one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done!

Because I think we all need a little Edward Bloom in our lives.
Full storyI really admire teammates who are…
- Open, curious and willing to try out new things
- Positive agitators (they're motivated by values + soul)
- In alignment with their values and the values of the people they work with
- *Aren't afraid to let the team take the spotlight
Full storyThe best environment for me is:
I start every day with a surf in the ocean and get grounded for deep work. I generally do my best and deepest work mid-morning with a coffee in hand and headphones on listening to lo-fi. In the afternoon I love to chit chat and take any needed synchronous calls!
You will make my freakin day if you…
Simply sharing how you're doing (great, good, bad, mediocre, simply just upright and room temperature) is something I genuinely value. While we may be remote, trust is the glue that binds us and I love to build trust via sharing the "real real" about our days together.
