Polls are a great way to get feedback from your team. Polling your team can help you answer tactical questions quicker and also help you learn more about your team members. Polls are a great way to enable your team to feel more connected and help your team members feel heard.
What should we use polls for?
Teams on Candor utilize polls for many different use cases. You can use polls in fun and informal ways like asking “What’s your favorite pizza topping?” or in tactical ways to answer work-related questions like “How do you think we did on our Q2 goals?”
Where do poll results show up?
Poll results show up in your Team Space, so your entire team can see results when polls close. If you have Candor integrated with Slack, we’ll also ping there when a poll ends.
What prompts are available for polls?
Prompts are available across different poll categories, like Meetups, Superlatives, or Ice Breakers. Some examples include: ‍ Which dates work or our next team offsite? How early before your flight’s takeoff time do you arrive at the airport? Who on the team is most likely to make your day by saying something nice?
Don’t forget that while Candor has a library of poll prompts, you can also make your own!
How do I ensure high participation for polls?
When you start a poll, your teammates with receive an email letting them know that the poll is ready for their vote. We encourage them to answer by only showing poll results after they’ve answered (or when the poll ends). Teammates will also receive a reminder 24 hours before a poll ends if they haven’t voted.
