Polls allows you to survey teammates on fun, icebreaker topics, admin questions, or any other questions you need answered.

â Ask admin questions about the office, offsites, swag, team lunch, or other planning topics.

đŹ Get opinions from your teammates on a variety of topics, without having the overhead of creating a form or collecting the responses yourself.
đ Show your team you care about their opinion and you want to incorporate their thoughts into decision making.

To set up the Polls mission, follow these steps:
1. Set up a Team Space. Make sure you have a Team Space set up. If you donât, youâll need to set that up first, which you can do here.
2. Click on Polls Dashboard. Click on the Polls dashboard, which can be found on the left side of your Feed page or on the top of your Team Space page.
3. Select poll prompt and answer choices. You can choose from prompts in our library or create your own. You can then create and edit answer choices. Polls are either multi-select or single select questions.
4. Set a time for the poll to end. At this time, your teammates wonât be able to answer the poll and results will be shared.
5. Launch Polls. If you have more than 4 teammates and havenât upgraded your account, youâll need to add a credit card to do so. If you have less than 4 teammates, you can click âLaunch Pollsâ which will start the poll and notify your teammates.

Youâll need to invite teammates to Candor so that they can vote on your polls.
The easiest way to invite teammates to Candor is by clicking on the âInviteâ icon on the left side of your Feed, next to your Team Space name.
Youâll then be prompted to input your teammatesâ emails or copy a link to send them. If you copy the link, you can paste it in Slack/Teams or in an email, prompting your teammates to sign up.
With either of these methods, your teammates will automatically be added to your Team Space and be able to participate in polls.

Once youâve set up your first poll, youâre now ready to vote on the poll.
First, navigate to the Polls dashboard by clicking on Polls on the left part of the Feed:
Or, by navigating to your Team Space page and clicking the âPollsâ card in the top section of the page.
Once you are in the dashboard, you will see a button to âAnswer Pollâ. Click the button and select your choices.
Once youâve answered the poll, youâll be able to see your teammatesâ responses. If you donât answer the poll before it ends, you wonât be able to vote, but you will be able to see teammatesâ responses and comment on the poll.

You can view poll results in a few places:
Polls have team-wide visibility, which means only members of your Team Space will see polls and any related comments.

All teammates can add reactions and comments to polls in the Team Space.
There are 6 possible reactions on Candor:
Teammates can add multiple reactions to convey how the poll makes them feel. They can also add comments to the poll results.
Comments and reactions will show on the poll itself, in the feed, and in the Candor-integrated Slack channel (if applicable).

When you create a poll, Candor will send a notification via email and in Slack to all teammates encouraging them to vote. We will also remind them to vote 24 hours before the poll ends if they havenât yet.
Weâll send a notification via email and Slack when a poll is complete to share the results. It will also show in your Feed.
